Looks good. Regardless of whether or not it would be built (I mean who really cares?), it is nice to have concept drawings. These drawings are done all the time by designers in their own time or by up and coming designers. I encourage more of it.
Sure it is uses a Mustang as a platform (with changes to the front and rear) but is that a bad thing? Mustang has a drop dead gorgeous silhouette.

Yep

Falcon gt badging. The yanks won't have any of that though, precious bunch of fat tossers. It'd basically be a reverse VF SS to usa type thing

ummm why? the Falcon name is cactus in Aus now... besides a few old time ford diehards.

Hmm, given how many Commodores are getting around with Chev badges on them, there might be a market for someone to make Falcon badges that can be swapped onto the Mustang's mounting points...

In a design sense, resurrection of such a concept would follow in Ford’s current styling ethos and embrace elements from the Falcon’s illustrious past. Inspiration is heavily borrowed from the XA/XB Falcon coupe of the 70’s, with its circular headlight lenses, flared up rear haunches and roofline profile.

I think the proportions around the back could have been better - when I get some time I'll alter it a wee bit. The back was just a rough sketch I whipped up in 15mins.

Its got two doors...that's enough. Not everything needs to hark back to one specific model, it not a full retro design...

I think its how the FG-X should look! The rear is heaps better then the FG-X...
