Exclamation Top Doorslammer Stolen!!!

I hope the moderators of this forum don't mind this thread but i found this out on dragster's forums and being a huge top doorslammer fan i would like to help and get the message out..

Dated 21/8/05
"In the early hours of this morning, Wayne Price's beautiful Mercury Top Doorslammer was stolen fom the carpark of Rooty Hill RSL. Price's enite truck and trailer containing the Mercury was towed from the carpark to a nearby road where thieves removed the doorslammer from the trailer and transported it to another location.

The truck and trailer have been recovered though damaged

Price indicated everything on the car was unique and easily identifiable. Anyone found in pocession of the race car or any of its components would likely suffer serious consequences.

The return of the vehicle would be the best outcome with which Price has assured that no questions would be asked if this were to occur.

A reward is also on offer leading to the recovery of the car

If anyone has any information on the theft of the vehicle please contact either The NSW Police Force, Wayne Price, www.wsid.com.au or www.dragster.com.au.

Again the car can be returned no questions asked!!!!...this car and parts are unique, you will be found out if you have them and face very some serious consequences.

Pol-Air and ground police are searching wide and far with news broadcasts going to air.

Recovery of the car is a must."

This is such a cruel thing for anyone to do, these cars are not just expensive but people put their heart and soul into getting cars prepared to race... I hope the car is returned in soon (and in one piece!!) the season opener is a month a way

It's a nice looking unit

Hopefully it's recovered before all the bits and pieces are sold off, alot of unpaid man hours go into projects such as this

thats a shame.... its not like the thieves could drive it on the street....

is this kind of thing common in high-end racing? ie could it be a so-called fellow racer so that the owner cant participate???

i doubt it,, its usually lowlifes that do this sort of thing,, and people in racing circles will always look after each other when it vomes to stuff like this. No one will buy parts off a car like that.

Keep an eye on US Ebay. Overseas buys would be the only way to off load unique parts like these

Either that or they will try and run the thing to trash it. Hopefully they come to their senses and return the car, they never seem to appreciate the hard work and hard earnt money that go into such things. GRRRRRRRRRRRR it really sh!ts me to hear about stuff like this.

There was a race car and trailer stolen in Melb quite a few years back. If memory serves they found what was left of the trailer down a gully a few years later

Why would anyone steel it?

Very hard to sell the gear?

Then again, if it was a racer also or an exporter, then maybe cash in it there.

I'd be interested to know what security system he had!

Rooty Hill RSL is just around the corner from me ... thank God I am getting out of that area in the next couple of weeks. Rooty Hill RSL is actually in Mt Druitt ... Rooty Hill is further down the road ... and a little more tame than Mt Druitt.

From what I heard on the radio yesterday arvo, the combination was taken away and the race car removed from the trailer and towed away by a VL Commonwhore, (bloody VL drivers!). They recovered the VL later, and guess what? The VL was a stolen car of course....
Funny thing is, I lived in Mt Druitt for 3 years (just down the road from the RSL) and never had a problem. Moved to Westmead, had 2 cars stolen, 1 never recovered, garage broken into twice, second time to clean out everything they couldn't get the night before, my old Meteor cleaned out approx 20+ times and of course there was the heroin freaks who lived behind us that woke the entire neighbourhood up every night at 3 am trying to kill each other .... out:
The Westmead incidents all happened in the space of a year, most in the last 3 months I was there.

Its all equally bad. I've grown up in the Western Suburbs, much to my dismay (Minchinbury, and now Blacktown).. though for a brief period in 2003-2004, I lived in Epping.. now that's a nice area.

I hope they find the pr*cks who stole the drag car and that they get what's coming to them ing_sm

Always a shame when things like this happen.

yes beating them up will stop them being heroin addicts.

or.

you will just end up with bruised heroin addicts.

frankly, this plan requires more thought.

Let's get off beating heroin addicts ( though a noble pursuit ) and concentrate on the matter at hand shall we !?

Always a shame when things like this happen.
I grew up in nice quiet Camden ... then moved to Dundas (hole) ... and then to North Ryde ... similar to Epping ... nice area.

Then moved into Eastern Creek (opposite Rooty Hill) with my fiancee .... and now moving into Kurrajong.

Now if there's a thief in the eara ... you can hear them coming from miles away at night time ... the silence at night is deafening out there.

My fiancee moved out of home to Minchinbury for a while as well ... she said it was kinda OK ... but still crap.

Its a funny thing, and also a small world..........

everyone knows someone who knows someone who knows etc.
There is no honor here, i wouldn't be surprised if it were found. Its a pretty big thing to take on, and pretty hard car to hide.

someone knows, someone knows everything. Question is, can they stay quiet? will they brag to their mates?

lets hope they undo themselves in a major way, and the car is recovered.

Strange that a car so individual would be stolen. What could they possibly get out of the theft. Hell they probably wouldn't even be able to start the ing thing.

Death to car thieves I say.

Unbelievable they'd steal something so unique even the sort of parts on it are never going to be off a street car & would be highly suss unless sold by a racer

It had been stripped of it driveline and I dare say most anything they could strip off it ! FUGGING low life car theives need rootin shootin and electricutin !!!!!!

I hope Wayne Price has the funds to come back from this as Id hate to see him loose his will to continue because of these lowlifes !
Damn shame . this wasnt just a drag car , it was a work of art ! :
