Default Insurance for under 25's with modded cars

Curious to know what insurance company (state comprehensive or 3rd party) people here are with that are under 25 and if they have declared all modifications (interested in modified vehicles only). Also how much are you paying and whats your excess?

Cheers,
Dave

I'm with Budgetdirect
$380 for full comp

27 years old
03 BA Fairmont Ghia

No mods as yet. They said they'd be ok with a set of rims as long as they are within 2 inches of the originals. Also said they'd have to check about CAI and filter. However as soon as I asked about exhaust and computer there was a big NO! So will have to change over later.

Justcars, fully comp

$1400 premium
$2200 excess

however i called them up yesterday and asked if could throw a rebuilt el xr6 motor, with 6 throttles and full engine management in my car. i was shocked when i heard 'if it's roadworthy there will be no change to your premium or excess'. now THATS what i want to hear from an insurer.

I joined with Shannons when I was 24, previously uninsured as the rest wanted to much and I was led to beleive that Shannons wouldn't insure me as I was under 25

60% no claim
~$100 pm now(25) ~$75pm
full comp for 20k
that is for the EB - listed as extremely modified

because you need to see the right rep. I got the run around for nearly 2 yr's before I could get any sort of decent cover. with Shannon's go and actually see them, they are not interested in anybody under the age of 25 over the phone or online, to hard and to much risk.

Oh and it helps that my EB isn't my daily drive aswell

I have my Pursuit 250 insured with shannons full comp around $1600-1700 per yr but is insured for low km's per yr. I think it jumped to around $2k per yr for unlimited km's.

I'm 25 tho have had my hj monaro insured with them since I was 20. My fiance is listed as a driver for the ute as well & she is 22.

Really old, 47, BF XR8 with leather and premium sound. No mods but will have stainless exhaust soon. TIO and $660 for full comp. No issues with stainless when it comes, as long as I let them know.
