Default Townsville Cruiser - When Redneck Patriots go to far!

Hey guys, Had this one emailed to me today. Its kinda cool, But not my Cuppa soup.

Its an old Opel, "Army Khaki spec"

townsville has one of the country's largest Army Barracks and Depot not to mention a range as well. Many people who live there are soldiers or have some sort of involvment with the army, mind you i dont understand why its a rednecks car.

did anyone else notice the red maccas cup holder thing on the door, with all the work gone into that car why would they not spray it army green or something?

I had to have a look at this, being a Townsville boy born and bred. And am not too sure about all this taking the micky out of the AJ's..... yes I don't have fond memories of them. Having played rugby against those bastards : .

But when cyclone Althea struck in 71 (I think.... it gets harder to remember when you become a registered "old Fart") those lads where amoungst the first to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into it.

I'm an AJ and i have been to townsville ... but not as an AJ but bloody ell this car is helerious ... i just emailed it off to my AJ mates as the armies new personnel carrier lol but yea great effort went into that mind u it looks either yank or brit i dunno but yea hell cool

FWIW, yes I've been to T'ville a number of times (in a Truck) Loved Magnetic Island and the town full of friendly people but not to fussed on the inhabitants of some of the parklands....
