Default Bang Bang

can someone please tell me why when i floor the accelerator my car dies for around 5 seconds and then it will accelerate after backfiring in the engine bay :eclipsee_

mm i'm not sure if this is same probme as yours, but sometimes when i flat foot my car it will bog down and take a few seconds before it starts taking off.. but other times i flat foot it and instantly takes off... damn cars

i never get back fire though

is it on gas? and/or have you checked your timing lately? Sounds like when you floor it, the engine receives a crapload of fuel, and that the timing may be way out...

My EA Started Doing this... since ive replaced the head gasket and intake manifold gasket it hasnt done it...

Ive heard that if the head gasket is worn between piston it can cause this.. dont know the validity of that though...

but hey it worked for me

lol, its not only E models. its happend in my dads AU a few times, but for now its decided to stop stuffing around and get on with it for some reason. its auto.

is it hard to change from centre point to multi point injection what do you need to change :

falcon91 and i tryed it and we couldnt get it to work, we were very close though, its a full days work though we just has an electrical problem
