Default I'm spewin!!!!!

The reason i'm upset is my brother reversed into my car the other day, he wasn't going fast, probably more or less rolled into it, but it did a fair bit of damage for something so low speed. Although the pics below don't look that bad, its the fact that everything he hit is tickford gear except for the panel (although i wanna get my panel repaired so it matches the vin number), so everything has to be genuine as no after market is available.

Whats damaged is headlight bracket, indicator/parker, bumper tabs torn off, headlight surround mounting tabs torn off, panel damage, panel pushed back so it hits the door every time i open it, and various other brackes behind the bumper and panel plus paint.

So far the panel beaters quote is $1500 without parts pricing : . But luckily my brothers excess is about $300 so we're doing through insurance, that way it gets fixed properly and my bro can get his bumper painted too.
Its annoying, not the fact that that my brother hit me, it was an honest mistake, but the fact that its a least a 2 week wait to get it into the panel beaters once all the insurance things are cleared, which means i wont be able to advertise my car for sale for at least another month.... Which is really annoying cause i want to get started on my next project.... GRRR.
Sorry for the rant.

I have seen insurance company's write vehicles off XR's with a bit worse damage that yours - ususally more of a front impact with the bonnet and both indicators and headlights broken.

I see you have your car for sale for $7,500 - Hmmmmmm

As it is they might have replace my nose cone if it turns out they can't plastic weld the mounting tab back on. And yeah i really wanted to sell my car so the price was getting lower and lower so i can get started on my next project but now thats been put back. I almost wish the damage was worse so they can write it off and i can get the $9000 its insured for.
