i love old falcons and i love new ones just want some idears on falcons new and old it has to be a 6 cause of P plate laws

I'd say something reliable, cheap to run and with good look's, an FG XR6 fit's the bill,
You don't really want something old school, as I imagine your young and maybe like to go out as youngen's do these day's, and you don't want to be parking an old school down the street or even taking it on trip's etc, realiablity and with the ease to be able to just cruise and enjoy where you go, you can't go past an XR6.

Drive a ZF as a daily and you'll see why. That and a manual falcon nowadays, whilst fun, has fairly obvious driveline shunt. I'd have a manual V8 in the shed for fun, auto for a daily.

Well considering you mentioned that you have been looking at G6E's, I personally would look at one of these over an XR6, better option's and a real nice cruising vehicle, and if it is to be a daily driver, (depending on where you live) I wouldn't even consider a manual, but that's just me, auto all the way for the simple fact that you can just cruise.

Before you decide I think you need to pin point some guidlines for yourself and narrow things down just a tad.

It really would be a good idea to pin point the criteria a bit as well as the budget. Do you want something that everything is done or do you want something that is a good base and use some of your budget to personalise it?

Well if your into old and new, and can budget up to $30k. Id suggest 2:

"New": AU XR6 HP, Good bang for your buck given you can't drive an 8. Easily accquired for under $10k. If you want a B-series, its hard to go past a Fairmont. Theyre insanely cheap for what they are.

Old: XA-XC Fairmont. The 6's are cheap as chips since hardly anyone wants them. A very decent one can be picked up for under $10k. Awesome street cred too

But thats just my opinion.

Toyota sprinter 1986, Good reliable small car with rear drive to learn how to steer in. Good young bloke car. Really don't think a falcon is a good first car. Or just buy an XR6 turbo, and free up some valuable oxygen for my turbo....... later.

my next car is either going to be a g6et or a xr6 t ute
ive had a loook at a few and id go with the g6 dam they are sexy in black
but really depends where you are, im getting property next year i dont think the g6 will be practical so probs gonna go with the ute
at the end of the day your young and would wanna go on road trips so pick something that has style and doesnt chew the fuel

There's a bit of a Stigma with P-Platers who have new-ish XR6s or SV6s and their seems to be a fair few of them.
That said though they are great cars. But a Ghia is like the best of both worlds.

once upon a time 1st cars pretty basic cars. young kids are just too spoilt for choice now.

i feel they are the ones missing out though. no thrashing about in old datto 200b's, stanza's, old rolla's, eskies, cortina's etc etc. the good thing about a lot of those cars is they seemed to be pretty hard to kill. i had a 200b that just wouldn't say die. the things that car did and the places it went, it should've died 10 times.
