Default Heater stuck on demist

I have a feeling this may be one of those niggly little problems with e-seires falcons... anyway, the control unit looks fine, can't locate a disconnected vacuum hose, but I've just had it put on gas and it's a bit of a plumbers nightmare under there... which hose (size/location) should I look at?

Any other ideas?

94 ED Classic wagon, as in the pic...

Passenger side, in the engine bay there are a couple of vac hoses. One will be hanging out, I can almost guarantee it.

Theres a thin black one and a green one.
One should be going into the back of the intake manifold, the other should go to the heater tap.

might have to get the unit replaced. Similar thing happened to me but is was the other way around. I couldnt get the damm thing to switch do the demist. Will set you back $350 though not cheap. Other places wanted $700 and ford wanted $1200

When there is no vacuum the heater will default to demist. I'd check the Vac line to the manifold as the others have said.

I have had the same thing happen to me in the last couple of days....
Are these hoses just under the wiper area ? Or deeper....
A pic would be great.

Got it sorted, thanks to everyone for their input. Xrated and Martin were right: two thin hard plastic lines on the passenger side, the black one had come off the manifold. Had to access from underneath tho, due to LPG installation. Very simple to fix once diagnosed...thanks again.

I may have to move on from this forum next week, today I bought an MY06 Forester.
