Yeah they look good silver!
Do you know how you would tell the calipers apart between the 322 and 329? You probably wouldn’t pick up 7mm difference unless you had both rotors next to each other. But is there anything on the calipers to identify them by? |

You can identify the calipers by looking at them.
It is all to do with the cooling fins & the front face 322mm BF 322mm caliper 28mm thick disc 329mm - AU Premiums - Also C4 corvette caliper Distinction is in the round mounting holes in the face of the caliper 28mm thick disc 325mm - BA Premiums - C5 Corvette caliper Flat face, cooling fins at top only, central divot 32mm thick disc

Thanks Superroo
They are pretty easy to identify after looking at them like that. The au premiums never come up and every one wants so much for them. I’m going to try and find some of the ba/bf premiums, just for the thicker rotors, my Mrs warps the standard au fronts every time she drives it haha. |

Thread mine!!
Has anyone put Safebrake braided lines on the AU2/3? On the rear calipers the brackets supplied with the hoses dont face in the right direction. Did anyone else have this problem and how did you get around it? |

What have people used for brake lines when using the territory rear calipers on an S3 IRS? Or do the factory lines fit?

Gidday fella's, I've read through the thread but can't find an answer to my question - do I need to change the brake booster/master cylinder for my particular upgrade?
I've got a S1 AU Ghia that I want to put BF turbo brakes on; stub axels, sway bar, control arms have been done. Anyone know if I need to upgrade the booster and master? Cheers.. |

however a booster will help and will help with lazy city driving when you use your big toe to brake. so to answer your question: its good to do it but not mandatory at all.

If off the shelf then the same as what I have. 322mm XR6T/XR8 brakes on the front (excluding BA). 328mm BFI XR6T/XR8 or Territory brakes on the rear. NOTE: BFII went back to the standard 303mm brakes on the rear. |

I'd love to get some solid intel on what length brake lines are needed for the rear Territory upgrade. Some say the standard lines are long enough, others say they need to be replaced with longer ones. I will be getting braided lines made up, so obviously they can be whatever length i want.
Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? Actual measurements of the line would be extremely helpful.

Just confirming for the 328mm rears there are no mounting brackets?
So the caliper cradle bolts straight on?

As mentioned use spacers to get it sitting centred over the disc. A good way to see for yourself what is required is to remove the caliper bracket from the caliper body(the body being the bit with the piston). Then you bolt the caliper bracket on by itself with the disc on, and it becomes quite obvious where it has to live to be centred over the disc, try get the same space on each side of the bracket where its cut out to fit over the disc. 3mm is about right, rolan on ebay sells ARP brand hardened washers which i like, some generic washers arent so great, it depends, you just dont want ones that are soft and crush etc. when torqued. |

Just got ordered a set of refurbed terry 328mm rears. Think I will contact race brakes sydney to see if they can make up some new lines for the rear. Fronts seem to be elusive as of right now I did see RBS sell a 325mm front kit same as on the ba gt.

With the rotors am i just looking for the terry 328 style rotors or do i need something different to suit the handbrake setup or do they run they same. And assume any falcon 322 rotor from that period will suit fronts?
Ben

Genuine 322 fronts getting more difficult to find, there are the aftermarket brackets on ebay
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/263136426361 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/283709614621 Then can use any BA caliper, swap the brackets with the new ones, it is the brackets that are different on the 322, rest of caliper is same as the regular BA. |

Those mounting brackets, correct rotors/pads and new lines would work?

Pads are the same whether its 298 or 322. Even the AU2 front lines can work if you have an AU2, ive made them work but cant remember exactly what I did, I think I mightve milled some off the side of the block where it bolts to the caliper to get the orientation right. BA lines/hoses will go straight on though and dont need mods... but they do have a little mounting bracket that slips under the caliper mounting bolt head... you will need those with BA lines. BA lines clip into that bracket whereas AU2's clip onto the strut/shock assembly. Here is a pair of BA calipers on ebay, the 4th pic shows the little brackets with the open ended C shape, they live under the mounting bolts. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284378854532 https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/y3QAA...hS/s-l1600.jpg |

Cheers everyone. Have almost everything on order.
Waiting to hear back from RBS on lines. With the 3mm spacers anyone know the details I should be trying to match ie inside/ outside diameter? Cheers

Bit of an update.
Regarding the lines spoke with Matt at Race Brakes Sydney who is great to deal with. Issue is with the rears unfortunately they cant do my rear lines as there are a few setups and mine is the one they dont have the fittings for, he suggested brakequip might be able to do them. As brakequip are a franchise and after some digging will most likely need either the lines or car. So I am looking at getting RBS to sort out the fronts for me so I can put them on when I do the calipers. And from what I have read I can make my current rears just work with the terry calipers so I can get my car to one of these shops to make up the rears.
