It can’t be that unique a scenario.
I need to sell some very minor Australian shareholdings that were in my father’s name. The usual certified documents are in order; death certificate, will. Solicitor’s informal advice was no probate required in this particular situation. Are there any online brokerages who handle this small scale stuff, where I can upload a completed form, ID, legal documents and have it paid out by direct deposit to a nominated account? Ideally for all listings in the one “go”. One of the share listings refers you by default to Computershare, who seem to only use snail mail for estate resolution. Ironic, given their name and that at the far end, someone will be opening that snail mail and feeding the pages through a document scanner… |

I had some pommy share, 5, that were worth about $200AU, I contacted some mob in Perth and it was going to cost me $400 to off load. I wasn't going to pay that so they suggested an English charity that accepts unwanted shares, so I made a donation to help.English homeless .
I can track down the name of the mob in Perth if you want it

You'll need to get them converted from issuer sponsored to CHESS.

Ta - so that (converting to a CHESS holding) is a means to lump them altogether. Hadn’t thought of it that way.
Fortunate none are held OS - would probably have done as Trevor. |
