Default Central locking

This may have already been asked, but why is it that when the weather is cold the central locking in my EA2 keeps returning to the locked position.Never does it on warm days.
I have checked all the connections where possible and cleaned them but it still continues to do it. :

And on an unrelated matter is it possible to install EB tail lights and boot trim to an EA.If so ,is it a difficult job?

just check the actual locks, the metal part that connects the lock to the knob bit at the top... you might find there is goo or something that stops one of your locks from opening.... if thats the case the locks will go up (Except one) and then back down again... should be easy to identify if this is it tho cos if u watch it, one will stay down when your problem occurs while the others will go up, then down.

The tail lights are fine, the garnish is a problem due to the reverse lights being in the middle the EA boot has no holes for these, and cutting holes the boot will always leak, get an EB boot lid.

Actually ive had the same problem, on my EL, Exept the locks go psycho when its really hot?????? They tend to go up and down twice and then stop... It tends to happen mostly when you try to lock the car.
