Hey guys,
I'm having a little bit of a problem with the front brakes on the EF. Ever since I had the calipers off to change the springs, the front brakes squeal and sqeak unless my foot is ON the brake. I have pulled everything back apart and cleaned it out and sprayed a bit of WD40 around, it seemed to work for about half an hour then the problem came back. Does this sound like a seized caliper or something?? Any ideas on how to fix it, it's extremely embarrasing! lol Daniel

You had the calipers off to do springs? Eh?
Pull them apart, clean the lot with proper brake cleaner and lube the slides with copper lube. |

are the steel shims still in place where the pads slide... make sure these are still there.. As rob said pull the slides out from the caliper and use either the copper lube, even htb grease if u have none of the other.. ive seen even rubber grease work good. U may find one of the slides is stuck VERY common. Also wd40 has no place near any brake set up, the heat from the brakes will evaporate it quick as

Thanks for the tips guys. The shims are still there, I made sure of that. The WD40 wasn't to stop the squeak as such, I was trying to free up what ever is stuck.
Just went to supercheap and got some brake cleaner and some of the red stuff to put behind the pads. I'll get some grease and have a crack after lunch and see what happens.

Seems to be ok now, I pulled the slides out with great difficulty and cleaned them and greased them all up, they now move nice and freely. I also put that red stuff behind the pads and it seems to have done the trick.
