Finally got the rear 4 piston calipers on. I can confirm stance sc5 in 20×10 dont not clear the rear brakes.

Has anyone tried to fit BA XR 17's over 4 pot Brembo fronts? I spotted this BA XR6 Turbo track car at Phillip Island today with 4 pots squeezed under BA 17's. I'm wondering if he was running a smaller disk to make them fit? I'd love to run 17's on my Brembo equipped AU if they do indeed fit.

Yes, they fit. only OEM 17 that does.
Interesting car that one, I have done a bit of work on it in the past. How close a look did you have? It has a few secrets.

I only had a quick look as the brakes caught my attention. From what I can tell it's one of 2 factory Ford Targa Tasmania entered BA XR6 Turbo's when released back in 2003.

We also used to do a 336mm front rotor with a Brembo 4 pot back in the day.

I was in the market for staggered 18 inch wheels and... Apparently these 17 inch wheels clear Brembo's? I believe them to be XXR 550's, anyone had any experience with XXR? Last edited by ivanflo; 11-10-2016 at 02:37 AM. Reason: added XXR brand info |

Matt from Race Brakes Sydney is currently investigating modifying a rotor hub and brackets, so that I can fit Brembo's behind normal wheels. I'll keep you posted on further developments.

The rotor is a two piece option and will run bobbins (which are being manufactured) and just waiting on them to proceed.

I believe that they did a floating rotor variation. I wasn't happy with the likelihood of inherent noise associated with that design. I ended up using a 360 mm rotor and hat from an Alcon kit. I heard to modify the caliper bracket to suit the reduced offset of the rotor.

Would someone know if the following wheels will fit over 6pot brembos?
- Lenso Speed 2 in 19X8.5 Front and 19X9.5 Rear with P35 or P40 offset - XXR 527 in 19X8.75" Front and 19X9.75" Rear with P38 offset I'm going to assume guards will need to be rolled |

Guys I'm wondering if anyone knows if 19" XR50 Turbo wheels will fit over the 6 pot Brembos? Or anyone in Sydney with 6 pots that I could see if my wheel fits over?
Cheers. |
