Hi all
Just thought I'd let you know that we rolled our Xsara on Dover. Carrying too much speed into corner and rolled 3 times and ended up on our lid in a paddock. Car is cactus. Shell all bent around roll cage, front wheels pushed up into fire wall. We're battered and bruised and I have some compression fractures in my vertabrae. Thank goodness for safety equipment. My tip - Never skimp on it. It saved our lives. We'll strip out anything salvageable and see what happens next. Not quite the way we wanted to make history in the first Targa Wrestpoint. Chris :( :( :(

A Citroen Xsara? If so thats an interesting choice. I wanted to see the targa but it was to far east and I ran out of time.
Sorry to hear, sounds like a lucky escape.

As the other post had written, you did make it memorable you know- if you are gonna do it, do it in style and make everyone wait! Again, really glad to hear you are okay - hope the co-partner in crime was okay as well ......

Dear GBG,
Yep there's plenty still useable - tribute to the engineering work that went into the car. It and the safety equipment we were wearing saved us. However, had we been wearing HANS and had the high back seats we would probably have totally walked away uninjured. Was a massive impact - we hit culvert still doing approx 120 flipped end on end and then rolled twice thereafter. Also for anyone who has belts tied on themselves around the rollcage rather than eyes screwed through the cage and clipped - this is why also chris has injuries as this layout under severe stress can move ever so slightly due to the loop where the belts go around the bar - Thanks for the concern.

Hey Guys, Although an unfortunate way to complete your Rally glad to hear that you are both OK, cars can be fixed/replaced but we can't...... We'll catch up when you are back on the mainland.
