Just to clarify though, I'm not actually looking at going into business right now or even in the foreseeable future as I lack any form of direction at this stage which was the primary idea behind this thread. To discuss.
I'm constantly on the lookout for ideas or opportunities. I'm in a good position at the moment. I have a well-paying job and a lot of time to myself. If I can hold onto it (the job) during this downturn, then it'll continue to serve me well. I'm also sans mortgage and children which means I'm far from being risk averse. If I can pursue it, so be it. If it fails, lesson learnt and no regrets for not trying.
I'm not a "buy a house, pay it off and settle" type of person. I need to do something satisfying and stimulating. Hard work is far from being a concern. I work my ar$e off anyway. At least if it were for myself, It would feel like I'm achieving something.
