During the 70s -80s van scene I reckon I saw 3 to 1 ratio of Bedford to Transits.
CF Bedfords of that size were mainly hinged front doors compared to so many Transits with the siding ones.
Bedfords seem like a better van conversion than the Fords.
Commerciallly as a fleet vehicle I reckon the Fords were more popular.

So that 250 log ? was original factory ?
I still have a few of the magazines from the 70's and 80's of such Vans all done up.
I think the reason why the van craze died was due to the Laws, so you could not just pull up and sleep in them like people once did, just pulling up anywhere.
I think the highest diff ratio for the Bedford was 3.9:1 and the dual rear much lower around 4.57:1 with little wheels.
