He was so put off with FWD that he didn't buy another front driver until the 2011 Mondeo Titanium EcoBoost, and even then, I had to convince him that things had come a long way since the 1990 Magna.
My dad also bought a magna safari wagon in 1990. The first motor went within 12 months so back for warrenty. Mitsubishi refused a new motor but a reco instead, so not a reco of the original motor, a different one. Dad said keep it and took the trade in cash for it at a loss. My old man was about to recieve a company vehicle anyways. They toyota cressida grande was a pretty fancy car back then.
