G'day mate,
FGX G6ET due for 60,000km service. Brake pads will need done too, but looking at the Ford website, they'll charge around $250 front and $250 back for the privilege. No way in hell I'm paying that for something I can do myself, when this is one thing I'm fairly certain won't cause an issue with warranty/servicing. Anyway, I'm just after some advice, and cost (and rough ETA on delivery as I want to get them done asap), on what you recommend on replacing the pads with? The rotors are still absolutely fine, so I don't want to replace them this time. I'll get new ones next time I do the pads. The stock pads have actually performed ok, though I do drive around 900km a week, and drive rather spirited at times, so I need them to be fairly long lasting and nothing soft soft. I don't want anything over the top or expensive, just something that'll work well, that's fairly standard for this car. Fairly certain I need front and back, but I'll pull the wheels off tomorrow and check. Thanks
