Default Your Kidding ME!

Went to Melbourne today to see my sisters new house, me and the missus left Parkdale and headed down Beach Rd to go home. Stopped at set of lights and this older guy in a current Fairlane I6 was in the left lane I was in the centre lane. Infront of us his lane has to merge into mine so the lights go green he excellerates hard so I do the same in my XR8, naturaly he had to merge in behind me(note he went hard first). Next thing I know he is honking his horn behind me and he pulls up next to me in the right lane and puts downs his passenger window and yells out "pull over driver I need to have a talk to you'. Well needless to say I found this odd (at first I thought off duty Cop), so I pull into a BP servo on Beach RD and he has a go at me for doing 35 in 60 zone(wich is BULL) and getting infront of him at the lights.

A point well worth taking note of for anyone here.

for starters, wasn't necessary to try and race him from the lights.

secondly, NEVER stop unless you see lights and sirens. he could have been an axe murderer.

X2

i've been in the same situation where i end up in the left lane not because i want to race people but because i simply haven't been able to merge into the middle lane earlier because of traffic.

sometimes people don't want to race despite what you might think. they just want to get home safely. it looks to me like it was YOU that was being the pain not letting him merge. the road is there to be shared.
