Default kw for 1/4 mile times

in a manual EB or ED how many rwk would you need to get say a low 14 to high 13 1/4 mile

Mid 14 seconds...?? Around 160 rwkws. Low 14 seconds?? 165 to 170 rwkws.Have a look at timeslips in drag racing section.

It depends on how well the car is set up for drag racing also. Tyres, suspension and a good driver go a long way to getting a low e/t.

This is right.
400m times have an enormous amount to do with vehicle dynamics.

Typically though, a street driven manual EB/ED will need around 140rwkw to enter the 14s bracket.

150rwkw will usually see high to mid 14's.

160rwkw will see mid to low 14's.

>170rwkw will see low 14's.

All these times can easily be improved upon if slicks, and soft(ish) suspension is used.

The terminal speed is a good indicator of power, as it it won't change significantly with traction etc, however ET's will come tumbling down with better traction.

if were able to shed about 60-100 kg of weight off the car would that do alot

From memory 100kg is worth approx 0.2s.

it would have to be more than that, if i have another person in my car the difference in acceleration is heaps noticable when i boot it
