We've been looking to trade from the FG XR6 sedan into a ute sine we no longer need the sedan.
I've located an XR8 near here for 20k and a Pursuit on the north coast for about the same. Both have similar mileage, the same ICC etc. The only real difference is the BF is one of the last built with cloth trim. Presumably the Super Pursuit would hold it's value better in the long term. Both are nice looking utes. Any opinions on either? Thanks |

Is the Pursuit a Super or a plain Pursuit?
A Super Pursuit is a fair upgrade from an XR8 (brakes, dual zone, colour screen, hard cover, seats etc) while the Pursuit is basically 290 motor, bigger wheels, FPV kit and 4 pot brembos. If they are the same money then the Pursuit is a no brainer either way. You get the exclusivity of an FPV and the little extras like the gauge pod etc.

Mate, Pursuit (or Super Pursuit) definitely.
What are you going to use it for? I seem to think that the XR8's and FPV's don't have the load rating that the lower models do?

Thanks guys.
The ute is being advertised as a 'Super Pursuit'. The XR8 has dual climate control, hard cover etc and is black which I really like. I like the performance options of the Super Pursuit over the XR8. The colour,of the FPV is silver, but not overly keen on the stripes. It'll be used it for the occasional delivery, rubbish run etc, nothing too heavy. I'm leaning toward the Super Pursuit. |
