Default Ebay - Power Mods

I was looking on ebay for performance items and the like and found the "Turbo Launcher" and "Intake Mod".

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TURBO-LAUNCHE...QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Intake-mod-Ch...QQcmdZViewItem

Do you guys reckon this stuff has any real effect on power? Anyone tried them?

I would have thought the turbo launcher thing would have actually slowed ur car down, more restricted airflow ???

Short answer NO. Long answer NO. You will experience more gains by putting your arms out the window and flapping than these crap ebay mods.

Welsome to the forums.

Hey EA2BA maybe we should kill the guy on ebay who advertises the super duper mods.

Has anyone on here ever bored out their throttlebody to increase CFM? My mate did it in his bombadore and it showed an increase of about 70 CFM per minute. An increase of about %20.

never heard of that, but why do so many people concentrate so much on air intake? It's hugely overrated for such little results in the end. Just change the snorkel and air filter.
Only huge performance engines need massive amounts of air, otherwise it just a waste of time.

Cheers Jimmeh

The throttlebody on a Falcon already has a large enough diameter for most basic mods people make. Commodore throttlebodies are not the same.

You will more then likely loose power if you went a bigger throttle body on these cars, they are already big if not too big in standard form..
As jimmeh said, just get a snorkel, and a filter.. thats about all you need for the intake side.. even a GnD airbox..
lol cheif is right, and funny.. the ebay things are rubbsih, seen first hand that they are rubbish, silly mates and there 4 bangers..

plus something with the name like turbo launcher? lmao come on.. :
