Default where to stay in Sydney ??

have to head to sydney next week (wendsday night), and dont really know the area.

looking for somewhere to stay that has secure parking as i will have some "goods" in my ute that i dont want lifted.

im coming in from the s-w, but have to go to the city anyway, so if u can recommend a good motel thats not too overpriced (or a fordforumers couch and garage) then please let me know

I have stayed in the country comfort on the corner of pitt st and george st in the city and that has underground secure parking. I think it was about $100 per night though. And I'm not sure how secure the parking is, I don't think anything is secure in Sydney. If they want it they will get it!

To get good rates and check rates and facility's use web sites like:-

www.wotif.com

www.lastminute.com.au

www.needitnow.com.au

There are a few more - I have used them before on my travels and you get much better deals than just phoning the Motels/Hotels direct

Where in the SW are you looking at stay ... and where in the city are you looking to go 2.

I found the Mercure near Central station ... where George Street forks ... near the Country Comfort was excellent as well ... nice and clean ... very quiet inside ... and underground secure parking as well (I had the ute down there overnight ... no problems at all).
