Wait for GM to whack a Holden badge on it and then tell us that NCAP tests don't correlate with their own...
Oh, wait, they already have the Barina

Watch the youtube clip that will scare you to death, its even worse than the Landwind, Frontera knock off thing.

Maybe it some form of chinese super weapon designed to get even with the west either that or its their replacement for the one child policy.

Night and day between the two. The first one is absolutely horrific. How you can put a vehicle on the road that would disintegrate like that is absolutely criminal, the second one looks like the occupant would be able to walk away from the impact with muscular injuries.

Wasn't there also a chinese 4WD that would have decapitated the driver due to the steering column rocketing towards the dummies head not that long ago?

I have the High Quality videos of that landwind on my PC, shocking, just shocking. Oh, and the Montanna... For something that carries 8 people, families, it should be the safest type of car available, that is unacceptable.

I agree, the Escape looked fine. I just posted it for the hell of it, not related to the other shockers.

Cheers

Isnt it a Rover made by the chinese? If it is, it would be interesting to compare it to
Rovers crash tests.

Dont think its been tested yet but its called but the SAIC Roewe 750 is expecting 4 starts. From what i can gather through reviews and that is that the Roewe isnt too bad, suspension is softer and build quality is slightly down.

Nanjang and new MG are trying similiar stuff but doing it the hard way by reverse engineering the car with their tooling , they also expecting 4 stars for restarted MG linup in UK, dont know what theyll get with their reverse engineered Rover 75

But all this only happened through using foreign designs and keeping plenty of UK techies from Powertrain INC on board and still wont be as good as what MG Rover could have done themselves

Yeah, I got the impression that you put it as a contrast of how a vehicle should react during a crash test.

There's no way in the world I would buy a Chinese made vehicle unless I had seen one being crash tested (and even then I doubt I ever would). Seems like they're trying to cull the population using vehicular selection.

That would be the Jiangling Landwind. 2200kg exact copy of the old Frontera minus structural integrity. Scored ZERO starts in the Euro NCAP. First car ever to score so low. 40mph crash and all occupants of the car die. The driver is especially bad, gets an uppercut from the steering wheel and then his/her head ends up in their crotch. Not good... even for the most flexible of us....

Here is the Chevrolet Kalos, AKA Holden Barina. Check the side impact and look at what smashes the drivers side window.
