Default Fastest Na 5speed XR8

Whats the fast Na Xr8 in full street trim (seats still in car) speed manual.
Jabba ran a 12.24 in 70% humidity at about 15 degrees, rather lousy conditions. Just wondering if anyone has run faster?

Cheers Paul

Awesome time there Jabba. That's right up there with the best.

I think Kev has the ET to beat at the moment with a 12.17... bugger all difference between the 2 of them now.

Top night. I was aiming square at a 12.2 street trim, but I was hoping I would nail a 12.00...
In order I ran
#1,, 12.5 @ 111.52, 1.873 60ft
#2,, 12.348 @ 111.86, 1.780 60ft
#3,, 12.242 @ 111.77, 1.708 60ft (PB)
#4,, 12.244 @ 112.72 1.726 60ft
#5,, 12.41 @ 111.69 (Broke loose on the launch) 1.871 60ft

The only changes I made to my ute was the rear tyres. They are a set off 2 year old MT ET's. Spare tyre and jack were left in the ute.. When I get a 12.1 I will start to lighten the ute to catch up to the LS1's

Well done to Kev.

I think for me to be able to better my time I will need a shift light. As it is now I have to rely on my ears and guess the taco, because the taco needle cant keep up with the actual engine speed untill I get into 3rd. And a new set off MT ET's, I hope to get a flat 12..

I want it.... Then I'll through out some weight and chase Club 11

Pretty sure he ran with light weight Weld rims F&R jabba and about 55kg light than your running and i think he had the tailgate off and possibly exaust to which is another 50kg and did a 1.64 60 to achieve his time so same weight same 60' you should run some better numbers without a doubt.

And very well done great 60' for MT streets but be prepared for breakages when you start running those 60' in a manual.

And that Air is awsome air by the way 173RA, never raced in air that good down here

There's no doubt about it jabba, your track is killer and the air you get is awsome to, very lucky to have a very well preped and situated track. Someone I know that has raced at willowbank and WSID a fair bit commented that at 1/2 track willowbank is stickyer than WSID at the start line, wednesday meets a WSID can be very dishearting.

Yeah, this year has certainly been very good. Last year however was a shocker. We were getting better RA's last summer then we were last winter.. But this year has had the best conditions I have raced in. It's like were getting our old weather pateren back again.. For the first time in 15 years I had ice on my windscreen early in the morning..

Time you came up here Wade, so You, Vern and I can have a bit off fun before summer comes around.. Accomdation is free when you stay with friends.

Thats Darren. AKA DBL15. BPT Eaton, 6psi @ 426rwhp. His ute can do a lot better, but he is concerned that if he pushes to hard he will blow his motor.... You will see his ute in one off the Ford Mags soon, It had a photo shoot last weekend..

Nice stuff Jabba, i like it, glad to see you have been "converted".....Hope my spelling and grammar is good, i copped a lashing in another thread and now i'm scared.

Seriously though the car sounded and looked tough but did i see some axle hop in the first 300 feet or so? What were your tyre pressures and what brand of tyre? Looks like you've been getting some good drag racing tips....Only asking because i'm only trying to help---others think i'm a an idiot.

Cheers Craig

That was my last run off the night and I was trying for a 12.1.. I upped the rev another 400rpm, 22 psi in the tyres. It was a weird launch, it hooked up intionally (1 second) then broke traction, but no axel tramp. I think that was the F6

At the moment I don't have a shift light and it is very hard picking the rpm's as 1st and 2nd gear the needle is approx 500-700rpm slower then the actual speed. So I hope to pick up a 10th by using a shift light when I get it. I also will be getting a new set of MT ET's which I hope will give me another 10th.... My goal is a flat 12 in street trim then I will shed some wait, but I might have to wait till next winter as summer is almost upon us up here (28deg today)...

I will be getting 4 more Vids off my runs soon I hope.. I went head on with a Stroker LS1 (11.6) and a Cam and heads LS1 also (11.8) I had the Cam and head LS1 till 200m then he crept away for a win.. Still there a good to watch.

Next time try 18psi in M/T Street Radials - 22 seems a bit high for my liking. Call me next week.

Great stuff Jabba ! Awesome Vid !
Looks like you have seen the "Drag Racing" light ?

I went to Calder last night trying to better my time, ended up with a 11.87 @ 116,
even had a tail wind.
Back to the drawing board.

Well done Jabba on the time but can u explain why your MPH is low as l ran a 13.1 with 110 mph on a 1.9 60ft.

with that extra power it seems low.
