no. mud flaps look gay and rub on the paint, so if ever taken off they look worse.

i tried to keep them on but first speed hump after i lowered it ripped one off and left the other hanging, other than that i would have love to keep them on, minimises rubber spray and reduces the stone chips when driving along dirt roads

look better withought them but they protect the car if u ask me. LOWXR is right though, they do rub the paint of on the later models.

Not just on later models. There is a few slight marks on my car where the mudflaps used to be. Also, since removing them, my rear bumper hasn't picked up any stone chips, despite my habit of taking the EA offroad.

I voted no but really it depends on the car.

I took them off of my EF partly because they were broken anyway and also becasue it looks better when it was lowered. Left massive paint damage though, especially the front ones. But the paint wasn't great anyway.

If it was just a standard ride height daily driver then I would probably leave them on.

No - all depends on the car though, what you use it for, what roads you drive on and if its lowered.........

Yes; I think it's it's selfish to remove them especially if are ever going to drive on unsealed road or roads where you need yo have one wheel of the bitumen to allow other to pas; without mudflaps you will throw up rocks breaking others windscreens and chipping their bonnets, roofs etc.

I dont mean to be rude mother nature compared to alot of eseries that out there i would class yours as a stock car.

Your cars not lowered from your pics and also not modified except for the following

− Custom painted dash surrounds
− Carbon fibre Gear knob
− Lambswool Seat covers

Sorry but i have to sort of agree with 95 on this one.

for me its a no because as soon as you lower car then they scrape and break anyway

I had them on my fg ute as I was going to do alot of country driving (already over 30k) with a few dirt road here and there.
Worst thing i could have done!!!!!!
The front ones would bottom out over anything - speed bumps or even a dip in the road at 80kmh would have them scraping. took them off and have some nice sand paper effect where they used to be:(
the rears - f$ck me - the must have been loose on the last drive i did and have rubed the paint and into the plastic bumper where the flap wqas flapping - 1 million time worse than any stone chips - now i cant even take the rears off becuse of the big rub marks on each side -
should have got some cheap rubber flaps from super cheap!!!!

Yep the fronts only stayed on my FG ute for 100 kms, then i ripped them off!

The rears are rubbing to, i should take them off aswell :(

My car had mudflaps when I bought it, within a week of being on superlows they were ground down to about half, so I removed them.

No one who voted yes has a modified car!

95falcon & BROCKYB8, careful what you assume. Love the way you only refer to what you think you see in a picture. I never stated mine was the most modified nor the most lowered, only the fact that it is not stock.

My car is lowered from the original Sprint ride height and does have issues with scraping the mud flaps. I do prefer to keep them as a protection to the paint work.

They damage the paint more than they protect it. As others have said, they damage the paint where they sit. Since removing mine, I haven't got any stonechips down the sides.

Wish I was so lucky Dezza. Having 2k's of dirt in and out of my home means that I get stone chips no matter what, I have found this to be lessened with the flaps on. I have no doubt that if I was ever to take them off I would have to get the area where they were removed painted again as you have stated.

This will always be a matter of personal preference as with most things to do with cars. It is not really my preference for looks but more a practicality for me.

Lol at the warning I got. I have 500m of gravel driveway, and the mudflaps destroyed the paint far worse than any stonechips I might have got from it.

Please list your mods MN, I would love to be proved wrong.

This is a thread about a simple matter and you seem hell bent on making it something it is not.

The mods to my vehicle are not relevant to the thread but I do have superlows as you do according to your sig.

I would love to only have 500meters of gravel but have not. I have not removed my mud flaps to see any damage and am not intending to until I get a respray which is on the cards.

As I stated earlier, this is a topic that will have divided thoughts and this is obviously the case with your argumentative posts.

Im not sure where the question of stock car -v- non stock and mud flaps is in the original posters request.

I have stated the modifications to my car that are relevant to this thread. I see no reason to quantify to you or anyone else other modifications that I have.

This thread was a question of what you prefer relative to mud flaps not who has the most mods or what mods you have, maybe you would like to make a poll on that question in a different thread.
