In the donor thread the general consensus was this is an old design that never made it.
That being the case the poll is moot, killing something that never lived.

I'd have to say it would be a great way to differentiate the GS from other models. Perfect placement for it.

+1.

That's why it never made it; it was awfully fuglicious.

The current XR's "eyebrows" which envelop the fog lights are a master stroke.

Stick with what we got is what I think. The fog lights repositioned in the second and third pix look like there out of position for my liking.

Also can someone please tell me the size of the rims on the first pix of the nitro blue XR8. I really like them, but I thought they where designated for the XR6. I usually see the 5 star rims (which I like also) on the FG XR8's. What the go there ? What are the standard rims and what is optional ?

Kill it. The Fog lights dont fit at all. I like the front bar, looks like an angry snake. However side on the front looks chubby and over hangs to much. I want a front bar with an insert around the bottom grille (like the old typhoons), split it up alittle.

There are standard 17's then optional 18's (the ones on the blue XR8) and also optional 19's which are the 5 spoke rims you speak of.

That failed front bar needs to be melted down into a ball and thrown at whoever designed it.

I love it!!! Love love love it. Far better than the current FG and God I wish this was the pick in the first place.

If the coin was flipped and this phantom mule was the design Ford went for 18months ago and we grew to embrace it, if people would still think that the car 2nd and 3rd pictures was a disgusting beast that needed to be disposed?

I'm sure i remember reading, that before the FG was released it was showed to the public and they disapproved of the front fog lamps position. It wouldn't surprise me if this was the iniatial design that got shafted!

I know it's been said before, many times actually, but it hasn't been said in big bold letters yet.

The front bar above is not the FG mkII front bar, it is the original FG mkI bar that was scrapped in favour of what we actually got.

There, maybe that will clear things up.

For the record, I never said this was the FG MKII design in my original thread, just in case people are getting confused.

Theres a great reason why the scrapped bar was done away with. It looks crappola!

I voted stay with the current one, but maybe a subtle adjustment wouldnt be a bad idea!
