Pinky, I am struggling to work out how you lock the keys in the car (be nice Whoosh)? Don't you have to push the lock button on the key fob to lock it? Unless you unlocked, threw your keys through the back door and closed them again, leaving the car to think you have not opened a front door, I will lock again.

Charging flat battery.
Keys in ignition, accidentally pushed down drivers door knob without realising & closed the door.
Plus it had to be the car I only had one set of keys for!

Yep that'll do it! I suppose you have tried your other keys in the drivers door? I know that each are different, but worth a try?
