Default My First Dyno Result!

Hey guys!

after all the money spent on my car to do it up, conversions and wot not, i finally got it on the dyno today for 3 runs, and pulled a 132.9rwkw @ 120kph twice... my lowest run was 131.5rwkw.

im very pleased with this result as i was only hoping for ~120rwkw or so!

im running a stock EA 3.9L Manual ECU, and im now hopeing to get rings done and a Chip for my Wade Cam 1636!

- Grechie

An auto would probably suck 5-10% out of a rwkw figure.

That's pretty good. Take it down the 1/4 to see what it's really capable of.

OMG you got an AFR of >15?!? Sounds like either a dodgy reading, or your car is running waaaay lean. AFRs in cars tend to be between 10 and 14. AFR is the Air Fuel Ratio, and the stoichiometric rating for the "perfect" burn of air and fuel is 14.7:1. Meaning 14.7 parts of air to one part of fuel. Cars should run richer than this otherwise the engine runs too damn hot (holed pistons, fried valves, etc). I dunno what the "optimum" AFR for a Falcon 6 would be, but I'd assume it's somewhere in the 13s.

Fuel & air can burn/combust from any AFR between 9:1 and 17:1. Outside these zones it won't burn/combust.

I'd get a 2nd opinion on that AFR!
