Default checking spark plug leads

what do u turn it to on a multimeter to show if the lead is still in good condition.

i remember it had to = 1 if it was any good, and anything under meant it had copped abit of wear.

set it to ohms.

the resistance varies depending on length but they should be fairly close. any lead that differs by alot is stuffed.

oh and by the way if it says 1 when your testing them it means its open circuited

Generally speaking you do not want any more than 1kOhm per inch of lead. But I prefer all mine to be 8kOhm or under regardless of length.

cheers
