Ive Spent lots of time on prep, The doors have been finished for months and i havent had any trouble with peeling scratching or damage so im pretty happy with it. The dash was done at the same time but hadnt finished everything else.

looking good mate! I was unsure about the silver, but when you look at the overall dash photo it looks really good.

When are the seats coming??

So i take it for the response so far people like it, well thats great.
I just glad, in 6months time there will be a huge difference, its gonna be a surprise but its gonna be huge. :
'
It seems they way to go, i felt the black needed to be broken up because it was just to plan and nothin stood out what so ever.

i've never been a fan of painting the dash and interior plastics but you have certainly done a great job and made an excellent choice of colours.

it looks good, it suits the car, it doesnt look cheap or out of place.

this is how dash painting SHOULD BE DONE.

grats!

That looks great man. It really shows that you spent lots of time prepping it and taking your time to do a good job. Too often painted dashs look tacky, but yours looks fantastic. Well done!

I used wax and grease remover on everything 1st, then got the compressor to blow off all little bits,
then just sprayed the vinyl dye, only on the vinyl, waited a few days and cleaned it with warm soapy cloth.

For the plastics then i sprayed plastic primer, waited to dry then did 2 coats of the silver paint ,touch up paint in a can, then sprayed it in clear coat outta a can also touch up can.

Then about a week later i polished all the silver parts 2 bring it up abit better. Made it smooth also :

Also repeated the same process for the black hard plastic parts, which you can't dye

Hey, nah i didnt take the dash out just everything around it out and used alot of newspaper and masking tape, it was quiet easy 2 paint in there actually, the vents just clip in their ,when u pull them out youll see how simple the click all togethere so there easy to dismantlle into little pieces to paint

cheers craig :1syellow1
