Well alot of you should know about my hoon law thread a while back... i still havent recieved the summons 28days later now how long do they have to send it out to me????? cause i heard from a few people that it was 28days???

Im not completely sure (being a QLDer not a Victorian and because it is with the new laws you guys have) but i believe it is at least 14 days before the court appearance date.

yer i had to wait 3 months for a summons for careless driving.

A while ago, my cousin stacked the car into someones property, the cops said he will get a summons to appear in court in the mail soon, but its now been like a year and still no summons.. Dont no whats going on there. He got a fine but.

Does it say anything on the infringement notice? I think you might have to object to the fine/ charge within 28days, maybe thats what the 28days is. It can take a while though, the courts are backlogged with driving offences.
Good Luck Btw pm me if you need any help looking for legal resources, i dont know if you can get help from legal aid or if you got a lawyer, but i have access to some good information if you have to represent yourself. Jennifer

You'll probably get a phone call soon to come pick it up from the station or they'll come to your house, all depends how much paperwork they've got at the station and who signs the summons off, but I think it's a maximum of 12 months for intent to summons and after that questions are raised?
I'd say you'll get it soon anyway, as Mr 4.0 said usually between 1 & 3 months.

Mine took 11 months and 23 days.. I nearly thought i had got away from it.. oh well..
