I doesn't look that bad. I'd rather drive that then an AU with a supercar front spoiler any day of the week :evil_laug

The car looks like its be well kept, I'll guarantee you, that'll be the last concern to prospective buyers.

$21,000 for a replica? Are they worth that much seriously?

No... but thats what people are asking.... and more

you can still build one for around 10-15k (you might need to have trady friends)

its the cost of the car that puts the price up....
the Repro parts to do it haven't increased THAT much !

yeah they are getting expensive, 21k is a good price as long as it has the works (GT dash, steering wheel, 351 clevo is a must obviously etc etc etc)

im paying 30k for my xw gt rep but bascially everything on mine is being chromed and its a full ground up rebuild.

back on topic, that guy obviously has no brains to ruin a classic like that (hotdogs on an xy) that is the sort of person that will devaluate our classics, makes them look cheaper and ratty!

I'll stick my neck out and say I don't mind it.

A few years back I had a mate with a pretty tough stroked-Clevo powered XC coupe, with dual 3" exhausts and a pair of 5" Autobarn cannons hanging out the back, angled outwards. Looked awesome.

I like the look of fat exhaust pipes, but he's got those "fart in a Bottle" hotdog style ends, which in my opinion just isn't right.

I also have newly rebuilt toploader with Hurst Indy, and while it is a big step over the OEM, it is still one of the worst manual shifts i have driven.
