Default MP3 in factory Ford cd player

hey guys, i was just wondering if there is any way to connect my mp3 player or maybe even my IPOD to my factory cd player in my AU so i can listen to my music through them instead of through burnt cd's with limited amount of music storage used:

cheers

with the I pods you can get an adapter module which will transmit on a radio frequncy, so you can listen to ur Ipods tunes through ur stock stereo

I saw these things in Safeway (Woolworths supermarket!) last week when I was doing the weekly shopping. I'm sure it was only about $40. I'd check that out before shelling out 90 clams from that website.

In my opinion you are better off forking out that little extra to a guy that knows whats going on, because the last thing you want is it to have interference. and then forking out after that for a better one...

right, the fm transmitter is not even 20cm away from the headunit/antenna, you can adjust the frequency to anything which ensures best quality. I have seen plenty of them in action and nothing wrong of them, we even ran a competition setup of one of these in a sound off for ****s and giggles and was perfect.

definatelly go for an adjustable frequency device , usually twice the price but the quality of them and also the ability to choose a frequency to tune in on makes them worth the few extra $$ ;) , cheers .

you are better off saving the 50 bucks on those stupid FM transmitters, and saving up an extra 200 or 300 dollars and buying an alpine Head-Unit with an Ipod adapter. sound quality will be greatly increased and yeah.

That's fine, but I like to keep the dash looking stock. I still haven't seen an after market installation that looks completely right with the curvature of the AU dash.

Anyone remember this thread? http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=53357

I reckon its the way I will go with my AU. I like to keep the "factory" look as well, and I'm not an audio-nerd so I dont care if it doesn't sound perfect.
