Does anybody have an idea what could be causing my power windows to be slow on the way up and when trying to put both up at the same time even slower ?????
 : Could it be the battery needs replacing ? as it feels as if the car is under load when i try putting the windows up ? but the car starts fine ??? I am confused ????? |

It is normal for them to go slower when doing more than one... any car will do that
If you get some silicon spray and lubricate the rubbers on either side with the window down it should free it up. |

The windows are allways slower winding up with the motor off , i allways try to make it a habit to wind up my windows before i turn off the car.
Also as TwistedEL mentioned , doing 2 windows at once will be slower / its normal , and also the seals around the window need lubricating now and again or they start to bind up slow down , cheers .

I have found that it is not the rubbers perishing, but the glass falling slightly forward on the way up. If you grab the top middle and pull it toward the back of the car, you will notice that it falls back into place, and will wind up fast again. Youll need to do this everytime you wind the windows up. Hope that helps.

Graphite powder is your friend.
You need to run a dry lubricant in the window channels- you can get this from Bunnings......

Silicon spray is your friend this works well.
The only real fix is to pull it all apart and clean and align everything carefully. I did this with the drivers window and now its quite fast. The tilt forward as describerd is the problem as it jams it all up. getting it to stop the tilt takes about four or five assemble and dissassembe and trials and careful checking. |

Sorry to bring this thread from the dead, but my AUII front windows are both slow. I want to try this silicone spray you guys were talking about but which one do I get? Is there a specific brand? Also how do I go about applying? Just on the window trim or something?
