Hey guys i have a ed xr6 and it wont start i dunno if its the smart lock or the starter motor when i turn the key the battry light and check abs light comes on but the starter motor dosent turn over so i was wondering wat i should do to check wats wrong.

does it click ?? or does nothing???? if it nothing it may be the smart lock module is shagged

it dose nothing for the moment id there anyway i can bypass the smart lock i think it is that becouse in hot weather i usally have to tap the dash where the module is

spelling?? it a bit hard to understand, sorry mate.
i say it is the smart lock module, re post mate i can't undersand properly i think you mean bypass the module i don't think its possible, the comp needs a signal from the module to start it.

sorry about the spelling i think it is the smart lock becouse nothing clicks when i turn the key. is there anyway i can hotwire the starter motor.

shure sounds like it!! mine some times gives a bit of greif if you hold it on it will start.

hey guys i got the racv out to look at it and he sead i need a new starter motor becouse when he tride to hotwire it the starter wouldnt crank over so gettin it towed to auto elec on monday
