Default TF Cortina Auto shifer

Hey all i just put a deposit on a 4.1l auto TF cortina to be my daily (had enough of my VX)

Pretty good deal, long reg and with rwc, pretty good condition for only $1500

I just have 1 question though, i dont really like the auto shifter in it, the button ***** me, i was wondering if any other model of cars one will fit?, like could i fit an EB/EF one to it?

I dont want to go the mega shifter or anything just something factory looking that works a bit better

i dont know it just feels funny like the button on it has come off or something

i'm picking it up tomorrow so will get a photo, it could be just normal and i could be spoilt from all my "modern" cars cause i have never had a car this old before

Default maybe xf

Maybe a xf shifter will work and just put a eb to ef handle on it. I had a late model handle on my xf factory shifter worked fine.

sorry I havnt checked this thread for a while, i sort of got used to it, but i noticed i had an ea shifter in the boot of my EB so i might try fitting that (EA and XF shifters should be the same and if that works ill just chuck an EF one on)
